Education
Education is not a federal issue. I believe that matters of education should be decided locally without burdensome regulations from Washington which tie the hands of teachers and exasperate parents. This means that I am against the Department of Education as it is a counterproductive expenditure. Since its inception the quality of education in our country has only worsened and its cost has only risen. In congress I will be voting to return control over our children's future back to parents. Part of eliminating the Department of Education would be repealing the No Child Left Behind Act, which has forced teachers to focus more on testing, than on teaching.
